Use Google as a Quick Dictionary

Very often we come across words that muddle us. But it’s time quite an effort to actually go to a free online dictionary to get the result. Instead try the define: function. With it Google aggregates meanings and definitions from several sources on a single page. For example, define: moot.

This one has many functions, and in some cases it can be used as your very own proxy to get around restriction. It can be highlight search phrases in the page. It can also be used to view pages that have been taken of the air since this is an image of the page Google has capture sometime in the past. To access a cached page simply click on “cached” under the result entry.
